Much like last week, we have had another unlikely winner, this time in the shape of Brian Gay. Scott Stallings went into the final round of The Humana Challenge with a 4 shot lead and was widely expected to go on and win. In the end he faltered and left a 3 man play off between Charles Howell III, Brian Gay and David Lingmerth. -25 was the score required to tie the lead this week and shows just how low you had to go to win.

So how did the tips from last week do?

The nearest challenger from last weeks tips was the 30/1 shot Robert Garrigus. He managed a final tournament score of -20, 5 short of what was required to make a play-off and that only got him a T16 finish, which yet again proves the scoring power needed to win this event.

Apart from Garrigus we also hoped that Bill Haas, Brendon De Jonge and Harris English would pose a threat, however this didn’t happen. Haas was cut and the others finished -16 and -13 respectively and never looked like posing any danger to the leaders.

So that sums up a disappointing week where no profit was made, so we will look swiftly on to this weeks Farmers Insurance Open, tips for that will be up later this evening, along with a couple of tips for the Qatar Open, which don’t forget starts tomorrow!
